Yvonne Christensen

I am originally from Kelowna, British Columbia Canada and moved to Utah in 2008 when I met my husband Brian who was born and raised in St George. We have 3 animated daughters; Presley, Peyton and Halle. We are home bodies at heart which has connected me with this industry on a personal level.

I went to business school and received my degree from the University of British Columbia, that degree is an integral part of my core processes in staying extremely organized in this crazy construction industry. Since then I have attended the Interior Design Institute, The New York Institute of Art and Design, and I am a huge fan of MasterClass and other online learnings as I'm a bold believer of not only being educated, but staying relevent in your field.

Nichole and I love working as a team. One of our biggest strengths at House West Design is Collaboration and we have built this team to foster creativity allowing diverse perspectives, and enhancing efficiency by leveraging team members independent strengths.

I love designing the hard surfaces of a home from scratch. When I can get my hands on the floor plans and work as a team with the Architect and Builder, that is when I feel the finished product really thrives. Because we methodically place every textured surface and furniture piece with intent, the floor plan is really where it all starts. Through the years I have developed incredibly special relationships with our suppliers and sub-contractors and have become great friends with the people I am lucky enough to collaborate with.

Style wise, I am a true classic/traditionalist at heart with a twist of the 1920's. I love working with my clients to truly understand their personal style is and create a customized space for them where form meets function.
