I was born and raised in sunny Southern California spending most of my time exploring new beaches, hikes, and restaurants with family and friends. I grew up taking dance classes in my hometown where I eventually began to choreograph and teach my own classes both recreationally and competitively which has played such an important role in my love and appreciation for all creative arts.
I began my design education in 2018 while taking an interior design course as an elective and quickly fell in love with the field. It offered so many moving parts that created one big picture that I easily related to my experience in choreography. I was and still am so amazed by the depth of design always leaving me with something new to navigate and explore. Although my education began in interior design, it led me to an architectural program where I learned residential computer drafting and design which added an appreciation and awareness for the space planning and functionality within the process of designing a home.
In November of 2021 my family and I made a decision to move to Utah, and by January 1st 2022 we were on the road to our new home in St. George - During the following month I attended the St. George Parade of Homes where I walked through The Manor of Happiness designed by the House West Design team. I sent out an email inquiring about any possible positions open within the company and was offered a three month internship that began in March and led to a permanent design position on the House West Design team! While interning,I was able to conclude my education through virtual classes in California and fully dedicate my time to my future career in the design field. In the span of 5 months I had moved to a new state and started pursuing a dream career of mine, the timing of it all is a wild story to tell that I am ever grateful for! Through moving to St. George I have been able to maintain a career in the dance industry while pursuing a career in design and have slowly gained an appreciation for the desert scape that St. George has to offer
I have an appreciation for all design styles and each of their unique characteristics that ultimately create a home for each of our clients specific wants and needs throughout. I have especially appreciated the hard surface design process, seeing a home turn from a dirt lot to a structure filled with beautiful finishes is truly amazing. When asked what my favorite part of the design process is, I am quick to say that client meetings are where I find most enjoyment! We get to learn so much about our clients and are fortunate enough to be given trust and be included in a small glimpse of their lives that they will carry on future memories and events within.
