Unpacking Our Desert Oasis Project

“The palette is earthy and neutral, mirroring the hues of the desert — think soft sand tones, muted terra-cotta, and sun-bleached whites.” -Nichole Inside the home, the focus shifts to creating an organic flow through the use of natural materials that add richness and texture. In essence, a desert, modern organic home is a study in contrasts — the raw beauty of the desert landscape balanced by the refined, understated elegance of modern design, all enriched by the layered textures of natural materials. “ The result is a serene, timeless space that feels both grounded in its environment and luxuriously comfortable." -Nichole

Our latest project in Southern Utah combines neutral tones with modern contrast. The design features sleek lines and minimalistic elements that complement the natural landscape. We carefully selected materials that blend effortlessly with the surroundings, utilizing local stone and white oak wood to bring warmth and texture to the space. Large windows invite abundant natural light, creating an airy atmosphere and offering stunning views of the red rock formations.

The interior is adorned with contemporary furnishings, accented by bold trimwork that adds a dash of creativity and vibrancy. This harmonious blend of elements not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also creates a serene and inviting environment, perfect for relaxation and inspiration.

We started this project with our clients in March of 2021. At the tail end of the covid long lead times it allowed us to take our time. We meticulously planned each detail, ensuring that every aspect aligned with our client's vision and goals. Our clients were very involved with the build and they had a clear vision for what they wanted this home to feel like. Words they used to describe this home were zen, calming, and oasis.

One distinctive aspect of our team's structure that contributed to a smooth process is the geographical split: half of our team is based in Northern Utah, while the other half is in Southern Utah. Since most of our clients reside in Northern Utah, they could easily meet with our Northern Utah team. Meanwhile, our Southern Utah team conducted job site visits and assisted in coordinating materials for the construction team!

This home features floating beams, skylights for natural light, art from local artist, and custom furniture made just for them.

They were really the dream team in making this home come together so effortlessly! The attention to detail is evident in every corner, from the beautifully crafted woodwork to the thoughtfully chosen fixtures. The open floor plan seamlessly connects the living spaces, creating a sense of flow and unity. Large windows allow natural light to flood the rooms, enhancing the warm, inviting atmosphere. Outside, the landscaping complements the architecture perfectly, with lush greenery and well-placed stone pathways that invite you to explore and enjoy the outdoor spaces. It's a true testament to what can be achieved when talent and vision come together in perfect harmony.

All the plumbing in this home are from Brizo faucets. We absolutely love their brand and the quality of their products. We know how important it is to invest in the things you can touch in your home.
