We recently had the amazing experience to meet with Miranda Kerr and tour her Malibu home. The white home sat in the beautiful hills of Malibu overlooking the ocean, her “tree house” as she called it was one of the first properties she purchased and still uses with her family to this day as their oasis. Furnished with her Love.Joy.Bliss collection for Universal Furniture the home was designed to perfection with every detail and corner considered and we are thrilled to now be offering both the Love.Joy.Bliss and Tranquility collections in our online shop for consumer purchase.
We were greeted by Miranda with champagne in the most beautiful butterfly flutes as we sat and chatted on her deck overlooking the Pacific Ocean while we waited for her chef to prepare lunch, which was an amazing 3 course meal served on Oscar De La Renta and Hermes dinnerware with her initials engraved. We loved getting to know Miranda better on a personal level and also hearing stories of her design process for her collaboration with Universal. She spoke about her favorite pieces and the details she wanted to implement right down to the table we were eating on and how she came up with the idea for the intricate wood pattern. We were impressed to see how involved she had been in the design of the pieces and how it was her goal that any of her items could be used in a relaxed beach side home or an apartment in Paris.
After lunch we toured her home, sitting on all the furniture to experience its comfort and learning about the fabrics and how she took such care to make sure they were durable and easy to clean, especially since this line leans on the light and airy side color-wise.
We are especially in love with her new Tranquility Collection and the organic shapes and textures. We love how each piece could be mixed and matched and used in multiple rooms with the rest of the tranquility collection or mixed in with her Love.Joy.Bliss Collection. Below are some of our favorite items from the Tranquility Collection.
In summary, we were so impressed with her two collections and are very excited to see what Miranda comes up with next, we would also like to thank Universal Furniture for the amazing interactive opportunity to learn more about their products and relationships, Thank you!
