Looking Back: The Manor Of Happiness Project

Every year, we get the chance to look back on our past parade homes, appreciating where we have been and the testament of timeless designs that endure through the years. Our 2022 Parade home #ManorOfHappiness is no exception.

This is some text inside of a div block.

This home was specifically designed by architect Shawn Patten to have an expansive groin vault hallway leading to the back yard. When designing this home we tried to keep most of the finishes traditional to accompany the architectural style of the home while also putting our fun design flare into it.

In the kitchen, we opted for handcrafted cabinetry with intricate detailing, complemented by state-of-the-art sub zero wolf appliances that offer modern convenience without compromising the home's timeless appeal. Lighting fixtures were chosen for their ability to add both function and charm, with vintage-inspired chandeliers and sconces providing a touch of sophistication.

Throughout the living spaces, we incorporated custom-built shelving and cozy nooks, perfect for displaying cherished collections or simply enjoying a quiet moment. Each room was designed with versatility in mind, ensuring that it could adapt to the evolving needs of  our clients families while maintaining its classic elegance.

We added design elements like trim work, fun wallpaper, fluted details and a mix of metals to elaborate on the traditional bones of the home. With furniture we brought in texture and comfort to appeal to our clients design needs. We hope you enjoy this home as much as we do.

Each child's room was thoughtfully designed to reflect their unique personalities while incorporating a level of sophistication that allows them to grow into these spaces.

In the music room, we incorporated custom cabinetry and adorned the ceiling with wallpaper to enhance the space. The room's centerpiece is a beautifully restored grand piano, its polished surface reflecting the ambient light from the elegant sconces on the walls. Plush armchairs, upholstered in rich fabrics, invite guests to sit and enjoy the harmonious blend of music and design. The acoustics of the room were carefully considered, with thick drapery from Park City Blind and Design and plush rugs helping to create a soundscape that is both rich and immersive. Small decorative elements, like vintage sheet music and carefully curated artwork, add character and history, making the music room a cherished retreat for our clients.

The laundry room features green cabinets painted Sherwin Williams Thunderous with black and white checkered floors. The space combines functionality with a touch of whimsy, creating an area that is both practical and visually appealing.

A vintage-inspired utility sink adds character, while open shelving provides ample storage for essentials, keeping everything organized and within reach.

To infuse a bit of personality, we incorporated playful artwork and potted plants, bringing a burst of life and color to the room. The carefully selected pendant lighting  cast a warm glow, ensuring the space feels inviting, even during everyday chores. This laundry room is designed to transform a routine task into a delightful experience, blending efficiency with aesthetic charm. It even features a slide from the second level.

As we enter the primary suite, you'll find custom drapery and a cozy private sitting area. The room is adorned with soft, luxurious fabrics and plush furnishings that beckon relaxation.

Large windows allow natural light to flood the room, offering views of the landscaped gardens outside. The ensuite bathroom is a sanctuary of its own, featuring a deep soaking tub, a spacious walk-in shower with luxurious fixtures, and dual vanities with plenty of storage. Thoughtful details, like heated floors and soft, ambient lighting, enhance the sense of comfort and indulgence, making the primary suite not just a bedroom, but a personal haven.
